Mixed fruit compote with yoghurt, toast and coffee. Fruit compote is a delicious nutritious alternative breakfast idea. To make a fruit compote put about a pound of dried fruit - apricots, peaches, pineapple, apple, prunes and pears in a pan. Cover this with cold water and simmer slowly until the fruit is tender. Allow to cool and store in the fridge. Serve alone or with yoghurt, try it on top of cereals or you could just try it as a dessert.
